Counselling can help with a wide range of situations including improving relationships, coming to terms with separation, anger or disappointment, coping with loss or bereavement, being a carer, adapting to life changes such as becoming a family, post-natal depression, children leaving home, redundancy and retirement. The counsellor's role is to listen, understand and sometimes question ideas or behaviours to enable you to make decisions, changes or reach acceptance of a situation. Talking to a professional counsellor can help you resolve or understand issues which are causing emotional or physical distress.
I am a Registered and Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to the Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. I aim to provide safe, non-judgemental counselling, a place for you to talk through your issues enabling you to better understand the distress you are experiencing and make the changes you hope for. Talking with an experienced counsellor can help address the problems you face now and provide strategies for coping in the future.
